  1. Mmmm...this is easy, delicious, and makes your house smell heavenly while it's baking. The cake part is tender and not too sweet. The topping is crispy and nicely spiced, just be careful not to overwork the topping or you won't be able to sprinkle it on. I added cardamom just because I like it. It works well in the topping. It would also be nice topped with a powdered sugar glaze if you're not watching calories. This recipe halves beautifully, I bake it in a 9" round cake pan. Will definitely make this one again.

I am Sicilian American (Italian for those who do not know what Sicilian is) I love Food...Food, Food, Food. Maybe that is why i am a member of a website strictly for Recipe's!lol. I am also trying to watch what i eat so i am always on the hunt for new low fat/ low cal meals. I am a devoted and loving house wife and mother. My favorite Cookbooks are one with pics...easy is good! I hate very bready or blan recipes! Can not stand them...ie, dry bread like cookies, or very blan dinners. I love to taste things, so blan is not in my vocabulary.
