  1. This was different. I actually made it for a friend but decided not to give it to her because of the way it turned out. Even though I followed the recipe it seemed undercooked to me. After I finished putting it all together and let it cool it wasn't crunchy or anything. I may try it again but if I did, I would cook it longer. Thank you.

  2. This is a good substitute for the high granola that you buy. It is not very sweet but maybe sweeten applesauce or a little brown sugar would sweeten if you would like it sweeter. It is extremely easy to make and very cost effective.

  3. I make this granola all the time now and eat it for my breakfast or on plain granola and ice cream. I use pumpkin seeds, shredded coconut, almonds, dried cranberries, raisons and flax seeds. It is so low fat and very good for you. Not too sweet.

  4. We've been looking for a low-fat, low-sugar, high-fiber granola and this beats anything you can buy - even at the healthfood store. It's very inexpensive to make and has completely replaed our other cereals for breakfast. We've tried it with almonds and cranberries, pistachios and tropial fruit and walnuts and golden raisins. The ginger is very nice completement, as well. I usually have to cook it just a bit longer than the recipe states and I always add a few tablespoons of sesame seeds in to toast with the granola for the last 10 minutes of cooking for a little extra protien. It's great with vanilla soymilk.

  5. My 2 boys are sitting on the couch enjoying a bowl of this plain right now. I used pumpkin seeds (pepitas) instead of almonds and 1 1/2 cup golden raisins instead of cranberries and mixed fruit. We will definitely make this again
