  • combine milk and rice in a large pot.
  • turn on medium burner.
  • cook for 1 hour.
  • when its 2/3 to 3/4 done, add sugar.
  • after it has cooked for 1 hour, add vanilla.
  • while cooking, stir occasionally, especially towards the end.
  • all done!
  • note: i sprinkle a small amount of sugar into the milk and rice.
