Lower Fat Chocolate Cake in a Mug

ingredients
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1⁄2 banana, mashed
- 2 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips
directions
- 1. combine dry ingredients in a large microwave mug.
- 2. add egg and rest of wet ingredients. Mix in chocolate chips if using them.
- 3. Cook in microwave for 3 mins at max power. Or adjust accordingly. From all recipes I have read, when the cake stops rising, it is done. Allow to cool in mug for several minutes and serve.
- 4. Some additional topping ideas I have read are chocolate syrup, vanilla ice cream, berries, and whip cream. These would obviously add more calories, etc. I like it just plain and chocolaty.
