ingredients
- 3 1⁄3 ounces microwave kettle popcorn, popped according to manufacturer's directions, unpopped kernels removed
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 2 cups marshmallows
- 3⁄4 cup M&M's plain chocolate candy
directions
- Butter a 9x9 inch square baking dish. Line with plastic wrap, allowing it to overlap on the ends. (The butter will keep the cake from sticking to the sides, and the plastic wrap will make the cake easy to lift out of the pan.).
- Melt butter in a saucepan.
- Add marshmallows and melt over low heat, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon.
- Remove from heat. Stir in popcorn very quickly and mix well.
- Fold in M&Ms using a spatula, again working quickly to prevent the candy from melting.
- Pour into pan, pressing the mixture firmly into the pan with the back of a wooden spoon.
- Cool completely.
- Lift plastic wrap out of the pan and invert onto a plate. Peel the plastic wrap off the cake.
- Cut cake into desired number of pieces.

Made for "My 3 Chefs" , my theme was POP-corn!! :) this was a nice recipe to include...easy, quick...very kiddo friendly...my only change was hot-air popped corn 'cause don't buy the nuke kind...I used a kettle-corn seasoning from spice barn and spray to flavor it...{{i think it is better than the micro-version}} oh I used a mix of M&M's and Reeses Pieces...'cause I wanted a bit of coco-peanutbutter taste...{{i was trying to cure all my cravings for indulgences at once 'cause I am only allowed a treat like this every third blue moon - lol}} LOVE popcorn cake and this is a slightly different version than I have tried before...LOVED it too- THANKS :) :) :)!!!
