  • Preheat oven to 475 degrees.
  • Butter well 2 large baking sheets.
  • In blender or food processor add one banana, milk, half the chopped nuts, vanilla and cinnamon, blend until well mixed.
  • Pour into large, shallow dish.
  • Dip bread slices into mixture until well absorbed on both sides.
  • Arrange on well-buttered baking sheets. Bake until golden. About 5 minutes.
  • To serve, slice diagonally and dust with powdered sugar. Top with remaining sliced banana and chopped nuts.

  1. Yum, this is so flavorful and delicious. The blend of banana and macadamia nuts in the egg mixture is great. I used cinnamon, and baking it makes it easy to make a bunch all at once. I halved the recipe and ended up with enough egg mixture for 6 slices of bread. Thanks for sharing! ZWT8
     
  2. What a nice treat for brekky. I made enough for one, it worked perfectly. Nice subtle flavors in this dish. The french toast was puffy and tender.
