  1. Made this one for a home-bound neighbor couple for whom I often cook & bake, & they do love mac & cheese almost any ol' way I make it! This time I made it as two casseroles, one large (for them) & one small (for the 2 of us, so I could do my usual taste testing)! Followed your recipe right on down, using some thick-sliced ham that I usually have on hand for topping (with pineapple) on cheese pizzas, & that worked great! Can't remember the last time I used diced tomatoes in a mac & cheese, but it definitely was very tasty & satisfying! Thanks for sharing the recipe! [Made & reviewed in I Recommend recipe tag]

  2. Definitely an easy, delicious and creamy mac 'n 'cheese, really hits the spot. I didn't have any ham, but this is really great even without the ham. Took no time to put together, I halved the recipe just for DH and I, but still had some leftover for a nice lunch the next day. Thanks, Sara, excellent! Made for PRMR recipe tag game

I'm married, I have 2 kids (both boys), and I live in Australia. I have loved cooking for as long as I can remember, and have become completely addicted to browsing through Zaar looking for new recipes! I have a small animal shelter for rabbits and guinea pigs, and spend most of my time looking after kids or critters!. My favourite cookbooks are The Essential Pasta Cookbook, The Central Cookery Book, Flo Bjielkie-Peterson's Country Cookbook, and Greek Cooking (I bought that one in Greece, and it's FANTASTIC). At the minute, we are getting ready to move, which is forcing me to sort through my recipe cabinet. I have been trying out all those recipes that are scribbled on pieces of paper, or torn from magazines, so I can decide ifthey are keepers or not. So far I've found a lot of keepers, and will work at posting them on here. I'm passionate about a lot of things, mainly my kids, animals, and cooking. I won't even start on my peeves, we'll be here all night! lol
