Macaroni Ground Beef Casserole

"This is another quick and easy recipe handed down to me by my mother. I usually have the ingredients in my cupboard and can easily throw this together for a quick family meal by adding just a salad. If you want to add a little zip, use pepper jack cheese in place of the cheddar."

  • Cook macaroni as directed on package, until tender
  • Drain and set aside.
  • Brown ground beef and drain fat.
  • add cooked macaroni, onion soup mix and tomato soup.
  • Simmer until cooked through adding cheese to melt just before serving
  • Or place in casserole, top with cheese and bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes.

  1. This was just right for a quick throw it together meal. Took no time to make and I will make it again I am sure. I used 2 cups of pasta instead of the 1 1/2 otherwise left everything else alone.
     
  2. I made this for my family and it did not go over well. The onion soup mix was overpowering but besides that, it was just bland
