  • Melt butter in frying pan and cook onions until soft and translucent.
  • In a saucepan combine all ingredients, bring to a boil, reduce temperature and simmer for 30-45 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature before using.

I chose your recipe and was hands down the winner. This recipe, when strained, has a very deep rich appearance with flavor to match. Thank you for this easy to make winner.
     
  2. I made this up yesterday and now I'm just waiting for my chili-head son-in-law to come over and sample it. I wimped out and used only one chipotle pepper and even scraped out the seeds. Didn't have any Jim Beam so I used Southern Comfort. It is sweet, tangy with a little bit of warmth left in the mouth. I call it "delicious"! My SIL called the last BBQ chicken I cooked great, but just wait until he tastes this!
