Magic Bullet Strawberry/Banana Smoothie

"I am always in a hurry in the morning and get tired of the same old granola bar on-the-go. This smoothie is really yummy, filling and good for you! I have tried making a triple berry one (with strawberries, blueberries and raspberries), but I like this one the best! I use 2 spoonfulls of yougurt and a splash of the milk and usually 1 small spoonful of splenda 9it wouldn't let me write that down below)"

directions

  • Throw all the ingredients into the large bullet container (adding the ice last, so it's the closest to the blade) then blend.
  • I shake the magic bullet while the smoothie is going to make sure i crush all the ice.
  • I usually just put that top on it and take it to work with me.

  1. This is my very first time using this magical little machine; and I LOVED IT! I’m drinking my smoothie as I write this. lol I would like to say that the next time I make this I’m going to put the ice throughout the cup because it got bogged down a few times so I had to take it off the base and hit it against the counter (like it suggests in the user manual). I tried shaking it but that didn’t work to unbog the ice. (It did work to mix the ingredients once the ice was blended.) I used one full ice cube and the rest crushed ice (as an experiment to see how well it worked) so I was surprised that it got bogged down so easily. Due to that little hiccup I would suggest using all crushed ice instead of full ice cubes. I am extremely pleased with this machine! The smoothie was delicious, and so easy to make! Next I’m going to try a vegetable smoothie.

Tweaks

  1. I made this recipe according to the original directions but added a whole banana instead. Turned out great!

  2. I used a whole banana instead of 1/2. Also, I’m a vegan so I made the following substitutions: * Milk = almond milk (I think it would be delicious with coconut milk!). * Yogurt = Kite Hill Artisan Almomd Milk plain unsweetened yogurt (soy & dairy free) * Honey = 1/2 tsp. Sugar In The Raw Turbinado Cane Sugar
