  1. Saute diced bell pepper,celery and onions in bacon fat.
  2. Add powdered spices,salt & pepper to sauteeing vegetables.
  3. Add frozen black eyed peas to sauteeing vegetables & spices and stir around in mixture.
  4. Add and stir in the tomato sauce and one cup of water to prevent sticking or burning of sauce while simmering.
  5. Add fried bacon back into the mixture.
  6. Simmer covered on medium low about 20 minutes or until peas are soft (checking & stirring occasionally).
  7. If mixture gets too thick, add a little more water.
