Mango Chutney Spread

"I absolutely love this recipe! It's just divine & addicting, I could eat it all day. I'm not a big curry fan but this recipe has just a slight hint of curry in it, that makes it oh soo yummy!"

  1. This was very tasty. I did find it a bit sweet, wasn't expecting that but it was a nice contrast to the curry flavor. Some of the mango pieces in my chutney were stringy and left some unpleasant fibers in the dip so in the future I would probably blend the chutney in a food processor first before combining with the rest of the ingredients. Thanks for the unique spread!

  2. Of the three appetizers I brought to a BBQ yesterday, this went the fastest and received the most compliments for its uniqueness and flavor. I found the dip to be a nice balance between sweet and spicy. However, I did use hot mango chutney, as that is what I had on hand, and perhaps that is less sweet than regular mango chutney? Who knows, but I would use the hot chutney again (it wasn't overly hot in the dish). Also, I didn't have a problem with the texture as I whipped the ingredients together with my hand mixer, which made it very smooth. We served this with crackers and plain pita chips. I would make this again. Thanks for posting. Made for ZWT6.

  3. Made for ZWT6 & our Tues appy nite, I usually take the lead role in rating recipes & outvote DH on occasion, but denying him was not an option this time cuz he *loved* this recipe. It was a bit sweet for me, but such an easy-fix, DH-pleaser that I hardly noticed. My chutney was very chunky & I did have to chop it up a bit to get a better mixture. Thx for posting this recipe for us. :-)

There are a lot of things I love about life, my family, my faith in God, my church family, my friends. I also enjoy so many hobbies. Working as a nurse means I work 3, 12 hour shifts a week and have 4 days off! Which gives me a lot of time to do the things I love like cooking, scrapbooking, photography and just recently herb/flower gardening! My family includes my adorable and amazing husband and my 13 year old step-son (who proves to be a challange to this new mom but we love him soo!!!) The newest love of my life is the beautiful little husky sitting on my lap in this picture. She is 5 months old and an absolute joy to our life! I also just started a new cooking blog called 'Make it homemade.' I believe we can all save a lot of money, if we use our skills to make frequently store-bought items at home in our own kitchens! Besides, homemade just taste better!
