Maple Glazed Salmon

- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 4 salmon fillets
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
directions
- Heat oven to 450*.
- In small bowl, whisk maple syrup, soy sauce, ginger, cornstarch and water until smooth.
- Place salmon, skin side down, in shallow 1-1/2 qt casserole.
- Spoon glaze over fish.
- Bake 17 minutes, or until fish flakes easily; baste during cooking once.
- Sprinkle with green onion.

Fast, easy and delicious. I used real maple syrup and double the recipe which wasn't necessary as there was plenty of sauce. I have made this several times on the bbq and baked it in the oven last night. Timing was perfect. The first time I made this I accidentally added the onions to the marinade. It tasted OK but I think the onions added at the end taste better.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!!
I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch.
We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
