  • Whisk maple syrup, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic clove in a small saucepan.
  • Season skirt steak with 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon black pepper and set aside.
  • Heat a lightly oiled grill pan or heavy frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Cook steak to desired doneness, about 3 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  • Transfer to a cutting board and let rest 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, bring maple-lemon mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
  • Simmer for one minute.
  • Cut steak across the grain into thin slices and drizzle with sauce.
