  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Add half of the olive oil to a large oven safe pan. Quickly sear the pork chops till they are just browned on each side and remove them and set aside in a baking pan. 9x13 works well.
  • Add remaining oil and saute onion and garlic until onions are transparent being careful not to burn the garlic. Add remaining ingredients and bring to a simmer. let simmer for 5 - 6 minutes. Pour sauce over pork chops in the baking pan and cover. Cook for 35 - 45 minutes basting occasionally. uncover and cook 10 more minutes.
  • Use a corn starch slurry to thicken sauce if desired.

  1. I reduced the recipe to make half. The sauce does carry a strong maple flavor with the mustard as an under note. Next time I would thicken the sauce as mentioned. I think it would present better at the table. Thank you for sharing the recipe! Made for Spring 2013 Pick A Chef.
