  1. Place cornmeal in a medium saucepan. Gradually add milk, stirring with a wire wisk until blended.
  2. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to medium.
  3. Cook uncovered for 2 minutes, stirring constantly with a wire wisk.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in butter, and set aside.
  5. Combine sweet potatoes and next 6 ingredients in a large bowl.
  6. Stir until well-blended.
  7. Gradually add cornmeal mixture, stirring constantly.
  8. Pour into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish coated with cooking spray.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, uncovered.
  10. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
  11. Enjoy!
