Maple Syrup Layer Cake

"Maple syrup gives this cake a wonderfully different flavor. Frost with a maple butter cream icing or a cream cheese icing or a Cool Whip frosting."

  1. This cake tasted great. I made it for my dad's birthday with cherry frosting at his request. However, it failed to rise much and the resulting frosted two layer cake barely looked like it was one layer high. It was very moist and enjoyed by all, no matter the size.
