  • Boil eggs for 10 minutes.
  • Soak eggs in cold water until cold.
  • Crack the eggs shells-DO NOT SHELL; set aside while preparing sauce.
  • Pour boiling water into chinese black tea; let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Pour tea into a saucepan (straining out tea leaves); add soy sauce, star anise, and salt to tea; add eggs and boil in mixture for 20 minutes.
  • Remove shells; serve cold.
