ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 cups white flour
- 2 1⁄2 cups whole wheat flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 quart buttermilk
- 1 cup oil
- 15 ounces Raisin Bran cereal
directions
- Mix well together everything, EXCEPT raisin bran.
- Then fold in raisin bran.
- Grease muffin tins.
- Bake 20 minutes at 400F degrees.
- Keeps six weeks in refrigerator.

Yummy! I'm so sorry I haven't reviewed this recipe before now! I have been making these muffins since Nov. 08! I've made them many different ways. The original way is great...but it's also a great basic recipe that you can change up with additional ingred. according to what your own family likes (bananas, for instant and extra spices). I also use 1/2 white whole wheat flour. I mix these according to directions, but then I bake them all and freeze. Then I can take whatever I need out for the week (keep in fridge) and nuke them for about 15 sec (for one, depending on your microwave power) and they are a great quick breakfast. Thanks so much for this great recipe. I will actually be making them again today!
