  1. Mix flour and salt together. Take 1/3 cup of this mixture and add 1/3 cup cold water to it. Make a paste and set aside.
  2. Take remaining flour mixture and cut shortening into it. Add flour paste to it and mix. Divide in half and roll out into pie crusts. Add fruit or other filling. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned.
