ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup Wesson Oil
- 1 cup white onion, chopped
- 1 cup green onion, chopped
- 1 cup soy sauce
directions
- Combine all ingredients.
- Let venison soak in the marinade for 4-6 hours before grilling or baking.

I did not know what Wesson Oil was, so I used sunflower oil in its place! I also used Maple Syrup in place of the sugar, as I bought a big jar just for the ZWT tour of Canada!! I minced my onions VERY finely in my food processor. I had no bell peppers handy unfortunately....I am sure that the marinade would be great with them added next time. Thanks DG for the basis of a great and yet such an easy marinade - used on venison steaks today! FT:-)
