Ingredients Nutrition

  • 5 -7 medium limes, plus slices for garnish
  • 12 cup sugar (plus more if needed) or 12 cup honey (plus more if needed)
  • 5 cups water (separated)

Directions

  1. Roll the limes back and forth over the counter with the palm of your hand.
  2. Cut limes in half, and juice them by hand or with a juicer. Reserve rinds.
  3. You should have about a 1/2 cup of juice. Transfer juice and rinds to a large pitcher.
  4. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  5. Add sugar or honey and stir until dissolved.
  6. Pour syrup into the pitcher, and add 4 cups water.
  7. Stir until well blended.
  8. Add more sugary or honey if desired.
  9. Refrigerate 1 hour. Discard rinds.
  10. Serve limeade garnished with lime slices.
