Maryjane's Avacado Ice Cream

"This is our new favorite ice cream. The lemon makes it a little tart and it is SO SMOOTH! It's good alone, but we've had it with fresh strawberries and raspberries, too. YUM! The recipe says to just freeze in the freezer; I use my little ice cream/sorbet maker. From Maryjane's Farm."

  1. I didn't know what to expect, but boy, was it surprisingly good! The flavors just went so well together. I actually added a bit more lemon and found it to be perfect. The ease of it was also reason why this was so great, especially seeing that I don't own an ice cream maker. Thank you, Chef PotPie, for sharing. Made it for Seaside Brasserie - 2020.

  2. Oh wow, what a great recipe. I made as per the recipe and we were delighted with the result. Creamy, tasty, colourful and brought back wonderful memories. We used to have avocado ice cream when we lived in Burma. It was a combo of avocado and sweetened condensed milk. This approach is every bit as good. Thanks for posting.

  3. I thought, what the heck, I'll try it! And believe it or not, it was pretty darn good. If I had used half and half as directed I am sure it would have got 5 stars, but alas I only had whole milk.

I HATE to see people join the site, have no published recipes, but rag on another cook in a review on a recipe they haven't even tried or didn't follow. Oh, and I hate cilantro, too. :)
