Directions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar together.
  2. Beat in egg.
  3. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.
  4. Add to mixture.
  5. Pour in milk to mixture.
  6. Mix together.
  7. Place in greased muffin tins.
  8. Bake in oven at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the muffins from the pan and roll them in extra melted butter.
  10. Then roll the muffins into mixture of ½ cup sugar and 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
