3 single crust pies
ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 cups vegetable shortening
- 2⁄3 cup cold milk
directions
- Combine flour and salt in mixing bowl.
- Cut in shortening until shortening is in pieces about 1/2 square.
- Pour in all but 1 tbsp milk and toss with fingers until combined.
- Add remaining milk to moisten dry bits at bottom of bowl.
- Shape into a ball, cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes to make rolling easier.
- Can be frozen.
