Ma's Apple Muffins

"These apple muffins are awesome, hot out of the oven, cold or reheated! This recipe, a family favorite has been handed down from my mother and is a traditional treat after apple picking!"

  • Mix flour, salt, baking powder, cinnamon and 2T of sugar.
  • Cut in the butter with a fork.
  • Add chopped apples, mix.
  • Add the beaten egg with the milk.
  • Drop by spoonfuls in greased muffin pans.
  • Place one slice of apple on each muffin.
  • Top with 2T sugar mixed with cinnamon.
  • Bake at 400 degrees about 20 minutes.
