  • Cream sugar and shortening. Add bananas and eggs.
  • Sift dry ingredients and add them to the bananas, but don't overmix it.
  • Bake in greased loaf pan at 350 F for about 35 minutes.

  1. I love this recipe. I have made it for years. I had the cookbook but gave it away so I was happy to find it online. I know it has a lot of sugar but my kids love it and ask me to make it for them all the time. I make it into muffins. It is a yummy treat that we all love.
     
  2. Not 1 loaf and not 35 minutes cook time. It filled loaf pan to the top so I put a cookie sheet under in case of overflow. It overflowed a lot and took over an hour to cook.
