Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef; 3/4 lb ground pork; 1/2 cup salsa (mild, medium or hot); 1 egg; 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs; 1 garlic clove, minced; 1 teaspoon dried basil; 1/4 teaspoon salt; 1/4 teaspoon pepper; 1 tablespoon brown sugar; 1/3 cup ketchup; 1/2 cup salsa

Meatballs
1 lb ground beef
³⁄₄ lb ground pork
¹⁄₂ cup salsa (mild, medium or hot)
1 egg
¹⁄₄ cup dry breadcrumbs
1 garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon dried basil
¹⁄₄ teaspoon salt
¹⁄₄ teaspoon pepper
Sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
¹⁄₃ cup ketchup
¹⁄₂ cup salsa

directions

Combine all the ingredients for the meatballs and mix thoroughly.
Shape into 1-1/2-inch balls.
Place on a foil lined cookie sheet and bake at 400°F for 12-15 minutes.
Drain well on paper towel!
Meanwhile heat sauce ingredients in a large frying pan, stirring to mix; add meatballs and toss to coat; simmer covered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

I absoultely loved it. The only changes I made were that I used only ground beef and italian crumbs. The basil and salsa inside the meatballs gave this dish a unique delicious flavor and the sauce complimented it well. It had just the right amount of tang and sweetness.
