  • Cream together the sugar, salt, and butter.
  • Mix together the cinnamon and flour. Add this to the creamed mixture. Mix in water, as needed, to make the dough manageable.
  • Press dough into 2-3 baking sheets lined with baking parchment; prick all over with a fork at regular intervals.
  • Bake at 325 degrees F for 30 minutes; cut into 100 squares.

  4. Let me say,by culture,I meant exotic and unusual cultures,those outside the usual Chinese takeout up the road or Mexican "cantina" at the mall, which are both yummy, albeit Americanized versions of traditional cuisine. Thanks again!
     
  5. Anybody ever prepare medeival themed meal/dinner? I'm trying something new once month for my family..themed dinners. My daughter doesn't get too much exposure to other cultures here in the Midwest, and I believe life should be about experiences,far and near,hence our around the world since time began dinner tour! If you have any suggestions as to recommended do or don't make dishes,I'm all ears! Thank you!

  2. This recipe is delicious! A very simple but yummy treat. I say it tastes like a pie crust, my husband says it tastes like a pop tart crust...either way, it's crumbly (not as much once cooled) and sweet, but not too sweet!
