  1. I love this drink!! I make it all the time now instead of drinking powdered hot chocolate every day. I half the recipe and it fills a huge mug almost 3/4 of the way. Must try!

  2. I've made this recipe numerous times and keep forgetting to review it. It's wonderful. It reminds me of the Mexican hot chocolate from our favorite Mexican restaurant in NYC. I tweak this recipe by using 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar instead of the 4, and it is sweet enough. I enjoy this hot chocolate with Stella D'oro anisette sponge cookies.

  3. This recipe left me very disappointed after having your New England hot chocolate (which I enjoyed very much!). I didn't like the flavoring in this and felt that it lacked the creaminess that I like and I also felt that the subtle taste of the cinnamon was overcome by the taste of cocoa. I'm sorry, but I didn't care for this one much.

  4. I made this with Lactaid since my husband is lactose intolerant. It turned out so chocolaty smooth with a hint of cinnamon. We loved it!

  5. My 5 year-old loves this! We made it with almond milk and left out the cinnamon. Was looking for a super easy hot chocolate recipe using cocoa powder and minimal ingredients, and this was perfect - easily halved! Thanks so much for posting!

Tweaks

  1. I suggest adding a sprinkle of cayenne pepper. I always add this to any cocoa. Try it..
