"Try it and it may become yours too. I got the basic recipe from one of the waitresses but, she left out the secret. After tinkering with it a while I hit on the best homemade dressing I ever tasted."

1 (32 ounce) jar real mayonnaise
1 ¹⁄₂ cups sour cream
1 ¹⁄₂ cups buttermilk
1 ¹⁄₂ teaspoons white vinegar
1 ¹⁄₂ teaspoons fresh lemon juice
2 (1 1/4 ounce) packages hidden valley ranch dressing mix
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
¹⁄₂ teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder

directions

Beat with an electric mixer on low speed, the mayonnaise, buttermilk, sour cream, vinegar, and lemon juice until smotth, about 2 minutes.
Add the dressing mix and remaining ingredients.
Beat on low speed until combined.
Pour into 2 sterilized quart jars. Seal.
Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
