9 ounces Milky Way bars
1 cup butter
2 cups granulated sugar
4 eggs
2 ¹⁄₂ cups sifted flour
¹⁄₂ teaspoon baking soda
1 ¹⁄₄ cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup pecans or 1 cup walnuts, chopped

directions

Melt Milky Way bars and 1/2 cup butter in saucepan over low heat.
Cream remaining butter and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
Add flour and soda alternating with buttermilk; stir until smooth.
Add melted candy; mix well.
Stir in vanilla and nuts.
Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 350 degrees for 80 minutes or until done.
