Milopita - Greek Apple Coffee Cake

"Posted for ZWT6 Greek Region: In Greek: μηλόπιτα, pronounced mee-LOH-pee-tah The website I found for easy authentic Greek dishes recommends using Golden Delicious apples in this recipe, but if you have a favorite apple you prefer for baking, use it. The recipe is easy to make, and uses olive oil, making it a great choice for those who don't eat dairy products. ** Carrot Cake: Substitute 1 1/2 cups of finely grated carrots for the apples to make a delicious Greek version of carrot cake."
