- 1 large onion, diced
- 1 stalk celery, diced
- 1 large carrot, sliced
- 1⁄2 cup frozen peas
- 3 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1⁄2 cup pasta, any shape
- 1 (16 ounce) can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 cups spaghetti sauce (Barilla or homemade is best)
directions
- Simmer vegetables in broth until tender-crisp, about 10 minutes.
- Add pasta and cook until al-dente.
- Stir in spaghetti sauce and kidney beans. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve.
