- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1⁄4 cups flour
- 3⁄4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 (10 ounce) package creme de menthe baking chips (Andes)
- shaved creme de menthe thin candies (Andes)

Chocolate Frosting
- 1⁄2 cup butter, melted
- 1⁄3 cup cocoa
- 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons milk
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 pan.
- Mix butter and sugar at medium speed until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. Add vanilla and mix well.
- In another bowl, mix flour, cocoa, and baking powder. Slowly mix into butter mix. Fold in the mint chips. Pour into the pan and bake for 35 minutes.
- For the frosting, mix all the ingredients at medium speed until moist. Switch to high speed until spreading consistency.
- Cool the brownies and spread with frosting. Top with the chocolate shavings.
