Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 large chicken, cleaned (we also skin ours)
  • 1 12 cups fig jam (you know what, just toss in the whole jar)
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Clean (and skin, if preferable) the chicken.
  3. Place it in the oven bag.
  4. Add the fig jam.
  5. Add the salt and pepper.
  6. Tie a knot in the bag.
  7. Moosh the jam around until the chicken is completely coated.
  8. Place in a roasting dish.
  9. Roast in the oven for 1 hour, turning the bag over halfway through.
  10. Remove the chicken from the oven and let rest for about ten minutes.
  11. Cut open the bag, remove the chicken and cut into serving pieces.
  12. Top with the juices in the bag.
