  • Cream sugar and cocoa with Crisco.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
  • Stir dry ingredients and add to mixture.
  • Add nuts and vanilla.
  • Bake in long pan (13 x 9 works) or cookie sheet for 30 minutes at 300 degrees.
  • Mix icing while cake is baking.
  • Remove from oven and cover with marshmallows.
  • Return to oven for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and cool 20 minutes.
  • Cover with icing.
