"The only hot cocoa for one recipes that I could find use milk, but I wanted one I could make with coffee......................walah!!!! Update: Upon further investigation I have discovered that this recipe is more for two than one........................so, if you think it is a little thick, try cutting it in half."

  1. It was very easy to do with just a few ingredients. The taste was good. But maybe too much powdered milk for my taste. Thanks Stephen :) Made for all you can cook buffet

  2. A nice easy and quick mocha that would have made me more inclined to drink powdered milk as a child. I made as written using dark cocoa. Thanks for the post.

  3. Pretty easy and real tasty! I use a large mug, so this was just right for one. I did cut the amount of sugar in half and it was plenty sweet for my tastes. Made for Fall 2011 PAC game.

  4. Mmmm, yummy. One of our first 'cold' Arizona mornings and I felt the need to pamper myself. I remembered Stephen's recipe for Mocha for One (thank you immensely for remembering some folks have grown families and only need small batches). This recipe definitely fit the bill. It is not overly sweet - yay - just rich and satisfying. Made one change by substituting original Coffeemate for powdered milk as I had none and wasn't planning to buy any. Don't feel anything was lost by doing that as I use that product regularly anyway. Thanks to Stephen I was able to stay home, put my feet up and still enjoy a dark, rich mocha with things I already had in my cupboard. :}

  5. This is a pretty good Mocha. It made one for me as I use a large 20 oz mug and it worked out just fine. I found the cocoa had a hard time mixing in with the coffee while in the mug so next time I may just mix it all in a saucepan first before pouring into my mug. And I'll probably use sweet n low as this was a bit sweet for my tastes but that is not a reflection of the recipe just my own personal tastes. Good quick method for those days I want a mocha instead of just plain coffee! Thanks for sharing. Found through the New Kids on the Block Tag Game.
