  1. OMFoodG! Incredibly delicious! Looks like chopped liver, tastes better. Onions: Held out a quarter-cup and added them raw in the processor; Took a good hour for the caramelization; Substituted the oil with some schmaltz I had saved, so not vegetarian. Peas: used a smaller amount of peas (unsalted, so that I could season the dish to my taste); The sugar in the peas sweeten just a little. Seasoned additionally with some garlic powder. Not fatty feeling on the tongue, like with animal liver. This will be my go-to recipe for Hannukah, Passover, and any other occasion. Glad to have found this, thanks for sharing.

  3. I made it today and it tastes great! I used two medium sized onions and around half the amount of peas and a cup of walnuts.

  4. Just heard about this from my Kansas cousin, Carolee. Hope to try it one of these days soon.

I live in Perth, Western Australia. I love cooking but hate cleaning up. I find singing and cooking are some of the best relaxation therapy.
