  1. Cream sugar and margaine together. Add egg and molasses and mix well. Add ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder and flour together and mix well. Stir dry ingredients into sugar and margarine mixture together. Chill overnight in fridge or put into freezer so that dough is stiff. Take teaspoons full of dough and rough into small balls. Mix sugar and cinnamon together and dip bottom of glass into sugar mixture and then flatten cookie dough balls down. Sprinkle sugar over top of flattened cookies if desired, then bake at 350F for 10 minutes. Cool well before taking out of pans.
