Mom T's Deluxe Pumpkin Custard

"My mom made this dessert during the winter months, for us as long as I can remember. Usually around Halloween we could count on seeing it. A great way to get another vegetable into your kids diet."

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Beat custard ingredients until smooth. Pour into 6 custard cups (6 oz).
  • Mix topping ingredients. Sprinkle over top of custard.
  • Place cups into a 9x13" baking pan. Pour very hot water into pan around cups to within 1/2" from tops of cups. Bake for 20 minutes until knife inserted half way between edge and center comes out clean.
  • Remove immediately.
  • Serve with whipped cream if you like.
