- 1 1⁄2 - 2 lbs ground beef or 1 1/2-2 lbs ground chuck
- 1⁄2 medium green bell pepper
- 1 medium onion
- 2 tablespoons chili powder (more or less per what you like)
- 3 (14 ounce) cans pinto beans
- 3 (14 ounce) diced tomatoes
directions
- In a large stock pot combine meat, pepper, onion, and chili powder, salt, and pepper. Using med.- high heat cook until meat is brown and onion and pepper start to soften.
- Once the meat, pepper, and onion is ready add the beans and tomatoes and mix.
- Simmer for at least 20 minutes, I prefer for it to simmer for about 45 minutes.
