  • Wash apples, insert wooden sticks into core at stem side.
  • Boil water in bottom of double-boiler. Place chocolate, corn syrup, sugar and milk in top of double-boiler. Cook, stirring occasionally, until 250 degrees. Add butter, mix well, then remove from boiling water and allow to cool for 2-3 minutes. Place mixture again above boiling water, remove entire double-boiler from heat, but keep mixture over the hot water in order to keep caramel warm and soft for dipping.
  • Dip apples in caramel, stand on waxed paper to cool. Spoon caramel over the stick-end if necessary.
