  3. gradually stir in water.
  4. bring to boil and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  5. add peaches then pour into 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
  6. dot with butter.
  7. sprinkle with cinammon.
  8. stir flour, sugar, baking powder, salt in bowl.
  9. cut in shortening until mixture looks like "meal".
  10. stir in milk.
  11. drop by spoonfuls onto hot fruit
  12. bake 25 to 30 minute.
  13. serve warm.
