Mom's Taco Dip

- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large onion (diced)
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 1⁄2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1⁄4 cup catsup
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 3⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 3⁄4 teaspoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
- 1⁄3 cup parmesan cheese
directions
- Put oil, onion garlic and hamburger in a pan and brown meat until cooked.
- Drain any excess oil.
- Add tomato paste, catsup, salt, pepper, oregano and sugar. Cover and simmer for appro. 30 minutes.
- Turn meat down low and add creme cheese and parmesan cheese. Mix thoroughly and move to warming dish.
- Enjoy with tortilla chips or I like the Big Dip "Frito's.
