My grandmother used to make this for me when I had an upset stomach, except that she didn't use the sugar or honey. I loved it! When my 3-year-old was sick over the winter, I made it for her and explained that her "great mom-mom" used to make it for me, but she still refused to try it. (That was OK with me, though...I got to eat it instead.) :o)

I haven't tried this yet, but my best friend's mom used to make it for her, and my friend loved it and what's really funny about it that it had another name, they used to call it "teddy bear" snack, and that's how i first heard her asking her mom to make it: " mom could you pls. make me a teddy bear?"

Oh you must add a bit of salk, very important. It's an "I don't feel good, Grandma" thing. My Grandmother, Norwegian and raised RICH, rarely cooked, but this was one thing she had in her repertoire to soothe the tummies and aching heads of her 8 grandchildren. YUM! I'm 55, and I recall the scorn of my schoolmates when I said I loved milk toast. Oddly, I never knew how to make it exactly. THANKS!
