Monkey"s Yummy Beet Smoothie

ingredients
- 1 small cooked beet
- 1 cup berries (strawberry, raspberry, blueberry)
- 1⁄2 banana
- 1 cup green kale, torn into small pieces or 1 cup chard leaves, leaf torn into small pieces
- 1 teaspoon vanilla, orange or 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 tablespoon nut butter
- 1⁄2 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
- 1⁄2 cup water, and some ice as needed
directions
- Measure all ingredients.
- Tear greens into small pieces omitting stems.
- Place the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. Add more ice or water for the desired consistency.
