Montreal Garlic Smashed Potatoes

"I love Montreal steak seasoning and never thought to add it to vegetables. These potatoes are outrageous! Found this on the internet, but it most likely originated from McCormick."

  1. Very good smashed potato recipe. I made these to go along with a surf and turf dinner. they complimented both the beef and seafood wonderfully. thank you for sharing this recipe with us, I will use the again and again.

  2. Excellent! I made them along with a steak, and they were a fantastic side. More flavorful than ordinary mashed potatoes, but not overwhelming.

  3. Wonderful potatoes that are really a signature dish with little effort. We will make these a lot. Thanks for posting!

  4. Delicious! I used Klondike Rose potatoes (red-skinned, golden-fleshed) since I had a lot on hand and no baby reds. Rather than using garlic powder, I tossed a few cloves of fresh garlic in with the potatoes while they cooked and just mashed them right in. Enjoyed the recipe very much--thanks for posting!

  5. Yum with a capital YUM! Can't get any better than this. Used fat free sour cream - no problem, other than that, no changes - I love that Montral seasoning - it really adds wonderful flavor to just about anything. My whole family gobbled these up - I'm keeping this one!
