Montreal Steak Marinade

"This recipe is exactly what is written on the side of the McCormick's Montreal Steak Seasoning Container. I've been using it for several years and never bothered to write it down until I bought a new container and it didn't have it on it. Talk about panic. The recipe is good for I pound of steak so adjust it according to how many steaks you're making."

Questions & Replies

  1. Thank you, thank you for writing this down! I love this recipe and counted on it being on the side of the bottle of Montreal Spices. I was surprised when I went to cook using this recipe and discovered it was no longer printed on the label. This was a life saver. (Okay, it was a dinner saver.) :-)

  1. Tweak Same but added 1 tsp. of Worcestershire sauce to the mix.

  2. the best marinade i've ever used for steak.

  3. Absolutely delicious!!! Marinated sirloin strip steaks for a little over 3 hours in the refrigerator, took out for 30 minutes prior to grilling on the bbq. Seared the steaks on high and then cooked over indirect heat until desired doneness... medium well. Better than expensive steak houses. This is our "Go To" recipe from now on! :) Thank you for the recipe!! :)

  4. I also love this marinade. Used it off the small bottle all the time. Bought the large bottle of seasoning and the recipe was gone. I am glad that someone posted it. It is on the dinner for tonight. I serve it with sauted onions.

  5. Best steaks I ever made, except I substituted Worcestershire sauce once quite by mistake. I liked that, too.
