  • Grind nuts in food processor until fine but not powder. - Then measure.
  • Mix all ingredients in LARGE bowl and toss.
  • Measure 1/2 cup into cereal bowl, add milk of your choice; cow, soy, rice, almond -- and let sit for 1 hr at least. Overnight soak is best.
  • Do Not Cook!
  • Don't forget to add Fresh Fruit! Apples, blueberries ~ whatever you have, and yogurt! Yum!
  • I also keep ground flax seed in my fridge that I add just before eating and chia seeds ~ if you add chia seeds before hand they make your cereal gloppy.

I was a strict Vegan for 18 years. I lived in a community of (at times) 1500 other vegans including children and grandparents. My 3 boys were all raised on this diet. Some time ago, I began eating dairy products, and more recently incorporated fish into my diet. My kids are all grown and away from home and I am cooking for me and my second husband. I also cook for my dog, which means there is chicken in the house....but for that purpose only. I have grown from grinding my own flour & baby food and canning enough for the winter - to a more pre (processed?) lifestyle. However, I still grow some vegetables and herbs in my backyard, and can a little jelly off my fruit trees.
